About The Awards

Join us in this mission to help the World while we support our creativity. Entry fee: $9 for the first submission, and $3 for each subsequent submission. Submit your images before February 17, 2020.

We are proud to announce the launch of the first-ever photography competition with direct social impact: the Beautiful Act Photography Awards.

For every photo submitted to this competition, we will plant trees in the most deforested areas of the world, along with recognizing the best photos with awards and prizes.

About Eden Reforestation

Eden Reforestation Projects is a non-profit whose mission is to provide fair wage employment to impoverished villagers as agents of global forest restoration. By the year 2025 their objective is to plant a minimum of 500 million trees each year.

Our Partners

Iurie Belegurschi
Although born in Moldova, Iurie Belegurschi has spent the last twelve years calling the Nordic countryside of Iceland his home. Inspired by the incredible light and landscapes, Belegurschi has spent over a decade capturing the beautiful scenes and seascapes, resulting in photos that have won international accolades, and adorned the pages of leading publications and exhibitions.

In 2012, Iurie founded Iceland Photo Tours, which serves as a way for Iurie to share his expertise of Iceland and its terrain with passionate photographers from around the world.
Ev Tchebotarev
In early 2004, before Facebook and Flickr, Evgeny has created a community for photographers to meet online and share their photos, 500px. Over next 14 years 500px grew into a global photo community with 13 million photographers, and in 2018 it was acquired by VCG.

Originally from Moscow, Evgeny has a BA in Commerce and Finance from Ryerson University.

Evgeny is an active photographer, and has been honoured to judge many world class photo contests, including Red Bull Illume, Photo Life, and Sony World Photography Awards. Now Evgeny is a Chief Growth Officer at Skylum.
Ori Guttin
Ori Guttin is a co-founder of Viewbug, the world’s largest photo contest platform, and has spent years working in the internet industry.

Artists on the ViewBug platform submit their work to judges which are often some of the best photographers in the world, with the chance to win gear, cameras and other prizes.
Alex Tsepko
Alex Tsepko is the CEO and co-founder of Skylum, passionate photographer, AI fanboy, family man and a lego builder.

Alex learns from everyday life and gets inspiration from people he meets while traveling around the globe. And they are having the best times of their lives.
Marco Grassi
Born and raised in Italy, Marco Grassi is an award-winning photographer focused on landscape photography as well as an avid adventurer and expedition leader.

As a photo educator leading workshops all around the world, he arranges adventures for those seeking spectacular landscapes and intense experiences like him.

Marco’s renowned work has been published and rewarded extensively worldwide in a large variety of media outlets.
Mads Peter Iversen
A teacher of education with a master degree in educational philosophy. Mads is specializing in fine art landscape photography and video editing but works with other genres of photography too.

He started out as a photographer in 2011 and his experience with video editing goes back to 2002.

Mads finds his inspiration all over the world but he's especially drawn to the nordic, cold and harsh yet stunningly beautiful nature.
Nancy Da Campo
Nancy Da Campo is a freelance architecture and interiors photographer born in Milan, Italy, and currently traveling extensively to discover and capture the beauty of the built environment. Perspectives and the use of lines are two central pillars of her content and she is always looking for new and interesting angles to show her interpretation of a certain building through her camera or drone lens. She regularly works with architectural and cultural institutions, tech brands and tourism boards.
Kah-Wai Lin
Dr. Kah-Wai Lin was born in Malaysia, but he has lived in other parts of the world for most of his life.

He holds a Ph.D. degree in medical science from Karolinska Institute, Sweden. Following a successful research career at Princeton University, Dr. Lin followed his passion and became a professional landscape photographer.br />
Dr. Lin has explored and photographed some of the most diverse and remote places in over 30 countries.br />
Dr. Lin received over 200 awards at international photographic competitions and exhibitions including multiple gold medals. Most notably, Dr. Lin was named top 10 exhibitors in the world by Photographic Society of America in 2015 and 2016.
Trey Ratcliff
One of the world's most popular photographers, Trey Ratcliff's images have been viewed online more than 115 billion times. And his personal blog StuckInCustoms.com is the #1 Travel Photography Blog on the Internet. Trey is also a co-creator of Aurora HDR.

Trey’s images and stories capture the beauty of exotic travel destinations and the humor of the bizarre situations he often finds himself in.

Trey grew up blind in one eye, which changed the way he has come to experience and visually map the world.
Max Rive
It wasn’t until 2008, when Max Rive first picked up a camera to document a mountain trip, that he became ingrained in the world of photography.

In the decade since, Rive has won International Landscape Photographer of the Year in 2017 and travelled the world capturing beautiful landscape shots in Chile, Argentina, Greenland, Sweden, Scotland, Norway, New Zealand, and beyond.

Benjamin Jaworskyj
Benjamin Jaworskyj is mostly known as a photographer. Specialized in travel photography, mostly Landscapes, he’s on the road for 6 months a year, all over the world.

Always on the hunt for the one shot. He’s capturing the beauty of the planet - not only for tourism boards, but also for his own e-learning companies, books and sponsors like Sony or DJI.
Benjamin Von Wong
Benjamin Von Wong's work lies at the intersection of fantasy and photography and combines everyday objects with shocking statistics.

It has attracted the attention of corporations, like Starbucks, Dell, and Nike and has generated over 100 million views for causes like ocean plastics, electronic waste, and fashion pollution.

Most recently, he was named one of Adweek's 11 content branded masterminds.
Daniel Kordan
Even if the name Daniel Kordan fails to ring a bell, don’t be surprised if you recognize a photograph or two of his.

Known for incredible landscapes, Kordan’s work has been published in National Geographic, Discovery, and Photography Week — not to mention Skylum’s own product page a time or two.

His growing list of clients including Apple and Red Bull, and as of late Kordan also teaches courses to photographers from all over the world on how to find their unique style and inspiration in nature.
Ben Hawkins
Ben Hawkins is group editor of Practical Photography and an experienced journalist, picture editor and competition judge. He's a massive rock and metal fan and loves Slayer, Metallica and Tool.
Michael Shainblum
Michael Shainblum is a landscape, timelapse and aerial photographer based in San Francisco, California.

Michael first made a name for himself through his unique creativity and the ability to capture scenes and moments in his distinct style of surreal, visual story telling.

A dedication to challenging the boundaries of creativity, as well as a flair for coming up with unique ideas, has since resulted in this dynamic visual artist being commissioned by large clients including Nike, Samsung, Facebook, LG, Apple and Google.
Victor Ha
Victor Ha is the Director of Marketing for the Electronic Imaging Division at FUJIFILM North America and is most passionate about the stories we can tell through the images we make.

A product of the image making industry, Victor has dedicated the last 20 years of his life in finding new and creative ways to bring the craft of making images to the world around him.
Dani Chase
Dani Chase is a photographer & writer from Atlanta, GA. Recently, she started There There Photography Festival, & Moment Travel, a company offering unbelievable photo-trips all over the globe.
